I'm now relief teaching in a secondary school somewhere around CCK/Teck Whye/BP.
I wont say where exactly so you guys can keep guessing.
I'm so glad that I'm teaching subjects that I like such as PE and Social Studies.
I cant ask for a better timetable or so it seems.
Well, as for the kids, they are another matter altogether.
I literally shouted at my sec 2 normal tech class just now and i just love the silence that followed after that.
I then reasoned out with them, tell them their mistakes and that teachers not only impart knowledge but also moral values in them, thus the necessity to maintain discipline. After that, the class behaved much better.
Its not an easy job really.

Trust me.

The most dangerous weapon available today...

No, its not nuclear weapons.

Its not biological or chemical weapons either.

It is the manipulation of the mass media to serve one's own interest

Ponder...ponder...

The headline on today's newspaper read "1 Million Dollars Reward for MSK ... bounty put up by 2 businessman"

Seriously, the headline alone made me laugh.
What more when reading the article.
Big joke.
What more can i say?

I dont want to comment here.
And you should know why, our big gahmen is always watching.

Anyway I'm now teaching in schools as a relief teacher.
I really dont remember being so rude, naughty and uncontrollable back then in primary school.
I guess times changed.
Sucky parents, sucky environment lead to ...
enough said.

They always say, raging war aginst another is the last resort after all other means to resolve issues have been exhausted.
Do they really believe in this themselves?
Or is it just another fabricated lie for a lame excuse to fulfill their greed?

M.I.A --- Avenged Sevenfold

Staring at the carnage, praying that the sun would never rise
Living another day in disguise, these feelings cant be right
Lend me your courage to stand up and fight tonight
Stand up and fight

The fighting rages on and on
To challenge me you must be strong
I'll walk your land but don't belong
Two million soldiers can't be wrong

It's no fun but I've been here before
I'm far from home and I'm fighting your war
(Not the way I pictured this, I wanted better things)
Some are scared, others killing for fun
I shot a mother right in front of her son
(Take this from my consciousness and please erase my dreams)

Fight for honor, fight for your life, pray to God that our side is right
Though we won I still may lose, until I make it home to you
I see our mothers filled with tears, grew up so fast, where did those years go?
Memories won't let you cry unless I don't return tonight

So many soldiers on the other side
I take their live so they don't take mine
(Scared to make it out alive now, murders all I know)
Nobody tells me all the reasons we're here
I have my weapon so there's nothing to fear
(Another day, another life but nothing real to show for)

Fight for honor, fight for your life, pray to God that our side is right
Though we won I still may lose, until I make it home to you
I see our mothers filled with tears, grew up so fast where did those years go?
Memories won't let you cry unless I don't return tonight

Staring at the carnage, praying that the sun will never rise
Living another day in disguise, these feelings cant be right
Lend me your courage to stand up and fight

Watching the death toll rise, wondering how I'm alive
Stranger's blood on my hands, shot all I can
There are no silent nights, watching your brothers all die
To destroy all their plans, with no thought of me
(No thought of me) No thought of me

Walk the city lonely, memories that haunt are passing by
A murderer walks your streets tonight
Forgive me for my crimes; don't forget that I was so young
Fought so scared, in the name of God and country

Have you guys used office 2007 yet?
All i have to say is that I'm soo not used to seeing so many changes to something that I've been using for years.
And its a hell a lot more troublesome and much more "leceh" to use compart to its earlier counterparts.
Look at this man...

Photobucket

Sigh...
I guess we just have to make do and adapt to the changes.
Blardy Microsoft.... monopolising us all...

On a lighter note.
I had a laugh viewing this music video.
Enjoy...

If you keep pushing something away,
chances are,
you might never get it back.

Change...

The only thing that holds us back is actually,
ourselves...

Anger...

No one likes him.
No one enjoys being in a conversation with him.
Let alone in his company.
But once in a while, we embrace him, share his destructive thoughts and basks in his immense power.
Only to regret later,
that we were once associated with him.
Whatever the consequences, its your own fault.
Not his.

I'm supposed to be studying now, but let me digress a bit.
I'm now studying marketing and the text(course materials) I'm reading is from the UK and its boring as hell and making me uninterested.
So I've decided to read American Text online and heyho they're really a breath of fresh air and really makes me understand better. (Well no offense to the Brits)

This one made me laugh,

If a young man tells his date she's intelligent, looks lovely, and is a great conversationalist, he's saying the right things to the right person and that's marketing.
If the young man tells his date how handsome, smart and successful he is -- that's advertising.
If someone else tells the young woman how handsome, smart and successful her date is -- that's public relations."

Some of you might have already come across this but the analogy is delivered in such a clever way that all of us can relate to.
Brilliant.

Ok enough enough.
Back to studying.

When I was younger, I used to think that setting up a business would be easy so long as you have sufficient funds to start with.

Well that was the old days of ignorance or rather the lack of any knowledge pertaining to business management.
Now however, since my course touches on a lot of business modules like, organisational behaviour, acccounting and marketing,
I'm more aware of how difficult it is to even set up your own business and let alone sustain it.
It aint easy guys.
Especially here in Singapore.

I have a relative who ventured into a Food n Beverage industry and did not even survive for 6 months. The main reason was lack of planning and surveying the location beforehand. No

The market in Singapore is freaking competitive and the start-up and rental costs alone would cost you a bomb.
It would take really in-depth planning and well thought out strategies to make your business work out and sustain in the long run.
Its already difficult to break even, what more making a tidy profit.
Statistics show that out of 10 new businesses that start in Singapore, only 4 or less will survive at the end of ONE year.
That is one demoralising statistic man.

I know all this because I'm doing a project which involves me to plan out how I'm suppose to run and manage my business.
I wont say it here of course but surprise surprise its not a new business idea that you have not seen in the market.
The idea that I'm working on already exists in Singapore. (Go figure!)

Not easy dudes.
I really salute those who are their own boss and manage their own business, coz it takes not just skill(or knowledge), but also a bit of luck.
Hopefully someday I'll be my own boss too =)
Dream on...
